Founders Developer Academy will be offering Building Web-Based Software with Ruby and Ruby on Rails/Sinatra as an course open to students and professionals with programming experience.

Overview (tentative): This course is a thorough introduction to Ruby and Ruby on Rails, focusing especially on the major strength of Rails and Synatra: rapid prototyping and iterative development. The course culminates in the design and implementation of a web-based software product. Prerequisites: experience with an object-oriented programming language (Java, C++, C#, sophisticated Perl); experience in any framework for building web-based software (PHP, ASP, J2EE); some experience with relational databases and SQL.

Course Dates: This course will be offered in Winter 2010.

Admissions: There is no competitive admissions process for individual courses offered by FDA; anyone may register.
